Not only did University of Manitoba Bisons kicker Maya Turner make history on Saturday by becoming the first woman to play in Canadian University Football game, she also kicked the game winning field goal in overtime, as the Bisons beat the University of Regina Rams 27-24.
Regina (1-3) falls behind Manitoba (1-3) for fourth spot in the Canada West Football Standings due to the season tiebreaker.
Turner ended up with a pair of field of goals (21,21) along with three converts.
Rams QB Owen Sieben was 23-37 with 294 passing yards with a touchdown and an interception.
WR D’Sean Mimbs led Regina receivers with five receptions for 94 yards.
RB Marshall Erichsen had 66 rushings yards and a touchdown.
Bisons QB Jackson Tachinski was 27 for 40 with 329 passing yards a touchdown.
Manitoba had 543 total yards on offence.
The Rams defence had five sacks.
Regina tied the game in the final minute when Ethan Graham caught a one-yard touchdown pass from Brayden Wagg, followed by a successful two-point conversion from Erichsen.
The Rams will head on the road for their next matchup on Friday when they face the University of Alberta Golden Bears (3-1).
