The Regina Pats capped off their three-game in three-day weekend with a 6-1 loss to the Saskatoon Blades.
Regina’s lone goal came from Kolten Bridgeman, his first career goal in the Western Hockey League.
Ewan Huet made 32 saves in the loss, first action for the Pats since December 9, following his appearance for Switzerland at the 2024 World Juniors in Sweden.
Saskatoon got goals from Egor Sidorov, Easton Armstrong, Brandon Lisowksy, Misha Volotovskii, Rhett Melnyk, and Tanner Molendyk.
Austin Elliott made 19 saves in the win.
Saskatoon extended their point streak to 18 games with the win.
After the game Head Coach Brad Herauf said it was evident the Pats were showing the effects of tired legs.
“We were allowing them to create offence, we weren’t able to take away time and space.”
He added the squad wasn’t physical enough on Sunday.
“When you’re not trying to slow these guys down physically, you’re going let them have momentum throughout the game.”
With Prince Albert also losing on Sunday, the Pats remain five points out of a playoff spot following the weekend.
Next action for the Pats is Friday night at the Brandt Centre when they host the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
