On Friday the Regina Pats announced the signing of 2007-born goalie Cruz Chase to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
In 17 games this season with the Airdrie CFR Bisons U18 AAA team, the 15-year-old has posted a 3-12-2 record with a 4.21 goals-against average and a .883 save percentage. He was 14-2-0 with a 2.13 goals-against average and a .925 save percentage with one shutout last season with the Airdrie Xtreme U15 AAA program.
Chase was drafted by the Pats in the seventh round (136th overall) in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft.
