Saskatchewan is joining other provinces, and the federal government by banning the popular app Tik Tok from all government phones and computers.
Wednesday afternoon, the provincial government released this statement.
TikTok’s data collection methods provide substantial access to data on mobile devices, making users vulnerable to surveillance.
The Chinese government has a stake in TikTok’s owner, ByteDance which has raised concerns about Beijing having access to user’s data.
