A new exhibit is currently being put together at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum in Regina.
Named “HOME: Life in the Anthropocene”, the government says the addition will “explore the human condition and its impact on the world” by using artistry and some of the most modern exhibit techniques. The new gallery will replace the previously known Human Factor exhibit.
“The HOME exhibit will inspire the same sort of awe and wonder the Royal Saskatchewan Museum inspired in people when we unveiled Scotty and the CN T.rex Gallery,” shared Royal Saskatchewan Museum Director Peter Menzies in a news release. “The ‘wow factor’ is going to be enormous when we unveil this new exhibit in the spring of 2022.”
While construction is being completed, the museum will stay open to visitors with limited amount of space available to visitors on the second floor of the building. The last third of the upstairs section will be closed off until the new exhibit opens. Signage and floor stickers will guide guests around the closed off area.
COVID-19 guidelines restrict the Royal Sask. Museum to a limit of 30 people. Visitors are asked to check the museum’s website to stay apprised of changes and updated safety protocols.
