Environment Canada says the unusual cold weather in April in southern Saskatchewan is expected to continue in May.
Meteorologist Terri Lang says last month’s average of plus 1 in Regina is almost 4 degrees colder than normal.
She says the cooler than average trend is expected through this month.
For moisture, Lang expects the southeast could be hit by another storm next week.
Regina had just 24 percent of normal moisture in April, but Estevan had 80 percent above average last month.
Regina had 6 millimeters in April while Estevan received 43 millimeters of moisture.
