SASKATOON – Five youths have been arrested after police responded to an assault-in-progress over the weekend.
Shortly after 2 a.m., April 19, patrol officers responded to a home in the 100 block of Avenue M South after it was reported a male had been physically assaulted outside and then dragged into a nearby residence.
Upon arrival, police heard a person in distress and entered the home where they located the victim.
The 16-year-old male youth was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The victim and suspects are believed to be known to each other.
Five youths – three male and two female – are facing charges.
