Should we be charging the people of Saskatchewan to park at hospitals? Why you ask? Well it came to be that the profits made off these fees are going directly to American companies.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority uses Atlanta-based ParkMobile at Regina’s General Hospital and the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, and Chicago-based ParkChirp at the Pasqua Hospital.
American companies should not profit every time someone checks into the emergency room, gets cancer treatment, or visits a loved one at the hospital.
We’re already paying a high price with our emotions during these stops and visits. We don’t need to pay outside sources for our time!
Why do we allow this to happen? Think of all the money that could have gone back into our health system or paid personnel their worth.
