Tuesday night did not go as planned for the Regina Pats, who fell 8-3 to the Winnipeg Ice.
Despite outshooting the Ice 35-33 Pats Coach Dave Struch didn’t mince words after the game, saying they didn’t follow the game plan.
“We talked about getting pucks in deep, instead we turned them over the whole game,” he said. “We never really had a chance, we had a bit in the second where we started to get pucks deep but then we started to feel a little to good about ourselves and they handed it right back to us,” Struch said.
The Ice also went 3/5 on the power-play.
Despite the loss Connor Bedard recorded an assist and has at least a point through the team’s first six games.
Goals for the Pats came from Carter Massier, Carter Chorney and Logan Nijhoff.
The Pats will be back at it Thursday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. against the Prince Albert Raiders.
