REGINA — Hundreds of people gathered around Victoria Park for the annual I Love Regina Day.
The event brings forth live music, food, vendors, runs and more.
“Events like this are important for the community because they bring people together. It’s a free event for everybody. It’s an inclusive event,” said Mayor Chad Bachynski.
This year marks the 23rd edition of I Love Regina Day, which began in 2002 after city staff were inspired by the idea of the I Love New York campaign.
Planning for I Love Regina Day takes months, which Bachynski credits to the community staff, partners and volunteers for all coming together.
“I think it’s a good testament to how the community always comes together,” said Bachynski.
This year’s event alone has roughly 70 volunteers.
