The City of Regina is continuing temporary water restrictions after a mechanical failure at the Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant on September 2.
Plant operations are slowly returning to normal, and officials expect restrictions to be lifted in the coming days. In the meantime, residents and businesses are being asked to help conserve water by avoiding lawn watering, washing vehicles only when necessary, taking shorter showers, and running full loads in dishwashers and washing machines.
The City is also reducing use by suspending street sweeping, watermain flushing, and park watering. Emergency wells are being used to maintain safe supply, though some residents may notice discoloration.
Officials thank the public for its cooperation and say updates will follow
