MEADOW LAKE – A 26-year-old man with a history of arrests, releases, and re-arrests, remains in custody after having his matter brought before Loon Lake Circuit Court on Sept. 4.
Kobe Kynan Kiseyinewakup was remanded and is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 25. He faces several new charges, including escaping lawful custody, being unlawfully at large, two counts of flight from a police officer and driving while prohibited.
Kiseyinewakup was arrested by RCMP on May 9 in Mudie Lake following a series of incidents that began with his escape from custody. Police say he was spotted twice in the Loon Lake detachment area, once near Loon Lake on April 26 and again on Island Lake First Nation on May 7. In both cases, officers attempted to stop the vehicle he was in, but the driver fled.
