WEYBURN – Weyburn Police Service (WPS) is investigating an internal theft at a local business that led to the recovery of two firearms and ammunition.
According to WPS, the investigation started on Sept. 8 when police received a report of stolen ammunition. The initial report indicated the theft involved an employee of the business.
As a result of the investigation, police recovered two firearms and ammunition. The specific types of firearms and the stolen ammunition haven’t been disclosed.
WPS says the matter remains under active investigation and criminal charges are pending.
