LLOYDMINSTER –Update: Lloydminster RCMP would like to advise the public that the situation has been resolved and a suspect has been arrested.
The area has been reopened for travel, though police remain on scene while they conclude their investigation. Lloydminster RCMP thanks the public for their cooperation and understanding.
They say an update is anticipated once charges have been laid.
Original post – Lloydminster RCMP would like to advise the public of a heavy police presence in the area of 51st avenue and 23a Street due to an ongoing investigation.
The area has been blocked off and travel will not be possible until the situation is resolved. The public is asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes of travel.
RCMP say an update will be sent once the area reopens or should more information become available.
