SASKATOON — A male youth was transported to hospital early Thursday with an injury from a BB gun from an incident the evening prior.
At around 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 25, police were called to a residence for a report of an injured person. There, they found a 14-year-old male youth with an injury to his neck. Police were told the youth had been walking in the area of Rusholme Road and Avenue W North at around 8:30 p.m. the evening before when he was approached by a group of youth. Police say a verbal and physical struggle ensued and a BB gun was discharged, striking the victim in the neck. The victim then fled home and later contacted police.
Police say the suspects and victim were not believed to be known to one another. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injury.
Police are continuing to investigate.
