REGINA–Regina police have charged a 29-year-old man following a stabbing incident early Sunday morning.
At approximately 12:10 a.m. on October 5, officers were called to the 3000 block of 1st Avenue in the Regent Park Neighbourhood, for a report of a weapons offence.
When they arrived, they found a 31-year-old man suffering from stab wounds to the neck.
Police provided first aid until EMS arrived and transported the victim to hospital. He remains in serious but stable condition.
A short time later, police located and arrested a suspect in connection with the attack. As a result of the investigation, Leroy Redwood, 29, has been charged with attempted murder and failing to comply with a court order.
Redwood is scheduled to make his first court appearance Monday morning in Regina Provincial Court.
The investigation is ongoing, and police have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
