PRINCE ALBERT — One man has been arrested following a drug trafficking investigation by the Prince Albert Police Service Crime Reduction Team (CRT).
At the end of September, CRT members began an investigation into suspected cocaine trafficking in Prince Albert.
Through their investigation, officers were able to obtain a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant for a home in the 1000 block of 1st Avenue West.
On Oct. 2, the Crime Reduction Team (CRT) and Proactive Policing Unit (PPU) members executed the search warrant at the residence.
Officers arrested a 37-year-old man and located and seized 100 grams of crack cocaine; two cellular devices; three digital scales; and $6,335 Canadian currency.
As a result of this investigation, a 37-year-old man has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.
The accused made his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Oct. 3.
The Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team (STRT) also assisted in this investigation.
