SASKATOON – Update, Oct. 16, 1:53 p.m.: A man has been arrested following a stabbing investigation.
Shortly after 12 p.m. on Oct. 15, police responded to a report of a suspicious person in the 100 block of Primrose Drive. Upon arrival, officers located the man and found him to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for breach of his probation. Further investigation by members of Patrol and the Serious Assault Unit determined that the man was also the suspect in a stabbing that occurred on Sept. 27.
As a result, the 21-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.
Original post, Sept. 29, 2:24 p.m.: One man was transported to hospital following a stabbing on Saturday evening.
At around 7 p.m. on Sept. 27, police were called to a business in the 2200 block of 22nd Street West for a report of an injured person. Upon arrival, officers learned the man had been stabbed somewhere in the area before entering the business to seek assistance from staff. The victim was transported to hospital by paramedics with what were believed to be life-threatening injuries.
Members of the Serious Assault Unit are continuing to investigate.
