SASKATOON — A man has been arrested after he was found in possession of weapons in Saskatoon.
Shortly before 6 p.m. on Oct. 21, police were called to the 1300 block of Eighth Street East for a report of a possible assault.
Upon arrival, officers could not locate any suspects or victims; however, while investigating, officers began to approach a man when he fled into a nearby hotel.
He was located and arrested a short time later and found to be in possession of bear spray, brass knuckles and a small knife. Officers continued to investigate the initial report of a possible assault; however, never located any victims. During their investigation, a firearm was located under a mattress within one the hotel suites.
As a result, a 38-year-old man has been charged with several weapons-related offences and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.
