A "burning of the brand" was held in Yorkton this (Mon) morning, to kick off Agriculture Week in the city.
A key feature of the celebration is the 36th Annual Grain Millers Harvest Showdown, hosted by the Yorkton Exhibition Association.
Special guest, Jim Gorman of Yorkton, applied the brand to a board that will be on display throughout Harvest Showdown.
Gorman says he used to be heavily involved with the Yorkton Exhibition Association.
Yorkton mayor Aaron Kienle was also on hand for the "burning of the brand", and notes agriculture is very important to the city.
Yorkton Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Juanita Polegi also attended the branding.
She's also involved with the Yorkton Exhibition Association, as a Director.
The 36th Annual Grain Millers Harvest Showdown in Yorkton runs from Wednesday through Saturday on the Yorkton Exhibition Grounds.
