REGINA — Average retail gasoline prices in Regina have fallen 1.3 c/L in the past week, averaging 126.77 c/L Sunday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 82 gas outlets in Regina.
This compares with the national average that has increased 0.9 c/L in the last week to 132.81 c/L, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
“Canada’s national average gas price saw mixed movement over the last week, with notable increases in Ontario, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “Meanwhile, prices in the Prairies declined, but that relief may be short-lived as continued refinery snags in the U.S. Midwest has sent wholesale prices climbing again in the region."
De Haan says, "For now, with oil prices relatively stable and broader seasonal factors in play, the national average may remain rangebound, but Canadian motorists should stay alert for any knock-on effects from U.S. refinery challenges.”
