LLOYDMINSTER – A Lloydminster man accused of a sexual assault against a 14-year-old girl is scheduled to stand trial in December.
Tristan Lewis, 21, appeared in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Nov. 3, where he was remanded in custody. He is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and three counts of failure to comply with a release order.
The charges stem from an investigation launched earlier this summer. On June 26, police received a complaint regarding the assault, prompting the General Investigation Section (GIS) to take over the case. Investigators arrested Lewis and executed a search warrant at his home.
The identity of the victim is protected by a publication ban.
