SASKATOON — Two people are facing charges after reportedly pointing a firearm at a person last night.
At approximately 10:30 p.m., Nov. 4, officers were travelling in the area of 20th Street West and Avenue H South, when they were flagged down by a man who reported that two men had just attempted to rob him and pointed a firearm at him.
Police located two persons matching the suspect description nearby and, upon being taken into custody, were found to be in possession of a shotgun, a machete and a knife.
An 18-year-old man is charged with point firearm, careless use of a firearm, unauthorized possession of firearm, prohibited possession of firearm, possession of dangerous weapon, carrying concealed weapon. and breaching court-imposed conditions.
A 16-year-old male youth is charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying concealed weapon, and breaching court-imposed conditions.
