HUDSON BAY — Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes has taken over the investigation into a woman’s death near Hudson Bay after police determined there are suspicious circumstances surrounding the December 2024 incident.
Vehicle incident and the death of a woman near Hudson Bay occurred on Dec 5, 2024. The Saskatchewan Coroners Service, Hudson Bay RCMP, Saskatchewan RCMP Forensic Identification Services and a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist are supporting the investigation.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is now investigating this motor vehicle incident and the woman’s death, as initial investigation determined suspicious circumstances exist.
Police said major crimes investigations involving forensic analysis and collision reconstruction can be complex and take time to complete.
As the investigation remains active and ongoing, RCMP said no further details can be released at this time. No arrests have been made and no charges have been laid in connection with the incident.
