SASKATOON — A 28-year-old Saskatoon man is in custody following a vehicle theft and police pursuit on Friday morning.
Saskatoon Police Service reported that at approximately 7 a.m. on Nov. 7, a man had started his vehicle in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood area near Avenue I South and 13th Street. As the owner was about to brush snow off the car, an unidentified male got in the vehicle and drove away.
Police located the stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The driver didn’t stop and proceeded to drive in a manner described police as dangerous.
The vehicle was later found in the 1200 block of 20th Street West. Officers located the suspect nearby and arrested him.
He faces charges of evading police, robbery, dangerous driving, impaired driving, and breach of probation.
