REGINA — Thousands of people gathered for the annual Regina Remembrance Day ceremony inside the Brandt Centre on Tuesday.
The event is hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 001 and gives citizens a chance to pay respect to those who’ve fallen while protecting their country.
In attendance for the ceremony were Saskatchewan Lt.-Gov. Bernadette McIntyre, Regina Mayor Chad Bachynski, MP Michael Kram and MLA Megan Patterson.
The ceremony included the falling of the poppies, the laying of the wreath and a march off.
Another major Remembrance Day ceremony in Regina occurred simultaneously at Victoria Park.
