SASKATOON — A second person has been charged in the death of Timothy Tootoosis.
Michael Shawn Landry, 40, of Saskatoon, was charged on Nov. 13. He faces charges of first-degree murder offering an indignity to human remains, and unlawful confinement.
Landry appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Thursday and he was remanded in custody. He is scheduled back in court on Nov. 17.
On Wednesday, Donovan Wiebe Lemstra, 41, of Calgary, made his first appearance in Saskatoon court. He is charged with first-degree murder, offering an indignity to human remains and unlawfully confinement.
The investigation started on Dec. 18, 2024, when Saskatoon police found a man dead while executing a search warrant at a home in the in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood of the city, in 1700 block of 22nd West. The victim was later identified as Tootoosis.
