ASSINIBOIA — Conservation officers are investigating after a white-tailed deer was shot and left to waste approximately 1.5 kilometres southwest of Viceroy, Sask. Information came from the Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety, Conservation Officers through the Saskatchewan Crime Watch Advisory Network on sunday morning.
On Nov. 15, Assiniboia conservation officers received a call of a white-tailed deer that had been shot and left to waste near Viceroy, which is located about 55 kilometres east of Assiniboia on Highway 13. Officers attended the scene, located the deer and collected evidence. The deer appeared to have been shot sometime in the morning hours of Nov. 15.
“If anyone observed any suspicious activity, vehicles or individuals in the area during this time it may assist in the investigation.”
