REGINA — The taste of victory is sweet, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders want to share that experience with their fans today as the club celebrates a Grey Cup win.
The team arrived back in Regina yesterday afternoon and staged a quick greet with fans at Mosaic Stadium, where the players showed off the Grey Cup Rider Nation has been cherishing.
Today is the main event.
The official Championship Parade is set for 2 p.m. Fans should line up along the Green Mile on Albert Street and 12th Avenue, which is where the parade will begin.
The players, driven by members of the Canadian Armed Forces, will travel along Albert Street to the Legislature, where there will be a celebration with speeches around 3 p.m.
Head Coach Corey Mace and Grey Cup Most Outstanding Player Trevor Harris are expected to say a few words.
Expect some traffic delays along Albert Street this afternoon.
Fans are being encouraged to avoid parking on Albert and instead use nearby neighbourhoods.
