NORTH BATTLEFORD – The efforts of the Battlefords RCMP and the Police Dog Services have led to charges laid following a break and enter
According to the police, a quick and thorough investigation by Battlefords RCMP and the Police Dog Services resulted in an arrest following a break and enter earlier this month in North Battleford.
On Nov. 8, Battlefords RCMP received a report of a break and enter at a residence on Meadow Lark Lane in North Battleford.
RCMP officers responded and determined someone had entered a back yard and accessed a shed. The suspect or suspects ran away when they heard someone exit the house. Following further investigation, the RCMP Police Dog Services were called to assist.
The suspects were located shortly after by the RCMP Police Dog Services and arrested without incident.
As a result of investigation, a 37-year-old man and a 30-year-old man, from North Battleford, are each charged with:
- one count, theft under $5,000; and
- one count, trespassing at night.
