SASKATOON — Investigators with the Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section have arrested another man in connection to the 2024 homicide of Timothy Tootoosis.
On Nov. 20, 38-year-old Roderick Rabbitskin was arrested in Saskatoon and charged with first-degree murder and unlawful confinement.
He has since appeared in court and was remanded into custody pending his next appearance.
Destini Gardypie, 43, has been charged with first-degree murder and unlawful confinement.
Nakita Tootoosis, 34, faces a manslaughter charge. They have since appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court and were remanded pending their next appearance.
Their arrests follow charges laid earlier this month against five others.
Vernon Peequaquat, Emmery Aubichon, Michael McCallum Michael Landry and Donovan Lemstra are all charged with first-degree murder, offering an indignity to human remains, and unlawful confinement.
The investigation started on Dec. 18, 2024, when Saskatoon police found a man dead while executing a search warrant at a home in the in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood of the city, in 1700 block of 22nd West. The victim was later identified as Tootoosis.
