REGINA — A former Regina Police Service (RPS) sergeant pleaded guilty Friday to using police databases to pursue relationships with women.
Robert Eric Semenchuk pleaded guilty to Breach of Trust and unauthorized use of a computer. He was charged earlier this year after an RPS investigation.
According to an RPS media release, police were made aware of the allegations in early 2023 after a member of the public brought concerns to the police.
Semenchuk, a 22-year-veteran of the force, was criminally charged in March and his access to police databases were suspended.
Semenchuk will be sentenced in Regina Provincial Court on Jan. 23, 2026.
