PRINCE ALBERT — Police have arrested three people and seized a significant quantity of cocaine following a months-long drug trafficking investigation.
Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) say investigators started looking into suspected cocaine trafficking in the city during the summer. After gathering intelligence, the PAPS Crime Reduction Team (CRT) members obtained search warrants for multiple properties in the city.
When officers carried out those warrants, they seized nearly 3.5 kilograms of cocaine, two vehicles – a 2018 Jaguar EX AWD and a 2025 Hyundai Tucson – along with $70,000 in Canadian currency. They also seized a 7mm Remington rifle with ammunition and other items consistent with drug trafficking.
Three people, Montana Primeau, 32, Jordan McDonald, 37, and Janie Farrow, 31, were taken into custody during the searches. Police have issued an arrest warrant for a fourth person, Evan Halkett, 34, who remains at large.
All four face charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. Primeau and Farrow have been additionally charged with possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000. McDonald and Halkett are additionally charged with possession of a firearm and storing a firearm and ammunition in a careless manner.
Members of Patrol, the Proactive Policing Unit (PPU), Community Policing Unit (CPU), Serious Habitual Offender Comprehensive Action Program (SHOCAP), Saskatchewan RCMP Crime Reduction Team, and the Saskatchewan Marshals assisted in this investigation.
