PRINCE ALBERT — A 16-year-old girl is dead after a shooting in Prince Albert’s west side.
Prince Albert Police Service Major Crimes Unit is leading the investigation after officers were called to the 900 block of 12th Street West at about 8:22 a.m. on Nov. 27.
According to police, officers entered a home and found the teenage girl with life-threatening injuries. Despite efforts by Parkland Ambulance paramedics at the scene, she was pronounced dead shortly after.
While at the scene, police arrested a 17-year-old boy. He remains in custody as the investigation continues.
