ESTEVAN — Santa Claus and the Estevan RCMP look forward to meeting the public and helping others as Christmas approaches.
"Check out a police car, visit with Santa, and meet RCMP officers in red serge in exchange for a non-perishable food donation," the RCMP said in a news release.
"All proceeds will support local food banks."
Fill a Cruiser events will happen at Southern Plains Co-op locations, including Dec. 5 from 3-7 p.m. at the Carlyle food store, Dec. 6 from noon-4 p.m. at the Oxbow grocery outlet and Dec. 7, also from noon-4 p.m., at the Estevan food store.
Also, a toy drive will run from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Dec. 6 at the Estevan Canadian Tire in partnership with the Estevan Fire Rescue Service.
Toys can also be dropped off at the Estevan RCMP during business hours any time before Dec. 5.
Toys will be given to the Estevan Angel Tree to distribute to kids on its Christmas hamper list.
