PRINCE ALBERT — The Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) is asking for the public’s help following a shooting that occurred overnight in the West Flat neighbourhood of the city.
At about 2:10 a.m. on Dec. 3, officers were called to the 1300 block of 18th Street West for a weapons complaint. Information given to police indicated a man had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found a 44-year-old man outside a home with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. He was treated at the scene by Parkland Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital for further treatment.
Police believe the suspect may have fled prior to their arrival in a dark coloured truck.
Investigators are asking residents in the 1300 block of 18th Street West to check their home security or doorbell cameras for video of a dark coloured truck or any other suspicious activity between 1:45 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on Dec. 4.
