REGINA — The halls of the Conexus Arts Centre are glowing with more than paint and paper, they’re glowing with hope. The second annual charity auction hosted by Harvard Media’s Play 92 is putting children’s artwork front and centre, turning classroom creativity into funding for kids who might otherwise miss out.
Student art from Sheldon Williams Collegiate and Pense School is earning proud walls and hopeful bidders until Dec. 29, all while helping to raise money for Creative Kids Saskatchewan. The auction supports opportunities for kids — from music and dance to art and sport — who don’t have the means to join.
Pottery, drawings and paintings stand side by side under soft gallery lights. The community is welcome to view them in person or at mcbids.ca, knowing this isn’t just buying art, it’s investing in children’s dreams. The school whose students raise the most funds earns a pizza-party reward, adding a little fun on top of the purpose.
At a time when many are thinking about giving, this event proves generosity still runs deep in Regina.
