Retiring farmers and ranchers who aren’t passing their land to family members have the ability to influence the structure of their communities by choosing who they sell their land to.
That’s the message from Saskatchewan Stock Growers President Jeff Yorga who wrote about the issue in the most recent edition of the association’s Beef Business magazine. In a discussion with Kevin Hursh of SaskAgToday.com, Jeff Yorga elaborated on his views:
