LLOYDMINSTER — A noise complaint at a Lloydminster hotel led to a sexual assault investigation and three arrests.
On Dec. 5, at about 3:47 a.m., Lloydminster RCMP responded to a noise complaint at a local hotel. When officers arrived they spoke with a person in the lobby who reported having been sexually assaulted by individuals inside the hotel.
Officers located the room and arrested three suspects inside. A search warrant was later executed with assistance from the Lloydminster RCMP General Investigation Section and the Lloydminster Forensic Identification Section.
Karan Joshi, 39, and Ghanshyam Verma, 22, of Lloydminster, and Joginder Momi, 45, of Edmonton, have each been charged with sexual assault and forcible confinement.
The three accused were brought before a justice of the peace and initially remanded into custody but have since been released on conditions, to appear before the Lloydminster Saskatchewan Provincial Court on Jan. 12, 2026.
