SASKATOON — Four people are facing charges after Saskatoon police seized drugs, weapons, and cash during an investigation by the Crime Reduction Team (CRT).
On Dec. 10, the CRT conducted enforcement action against two men believed to be trafficking fentanyl and in possession of a firearm. With assistance from the Tactical Support Unit, both men as well as one woman were arrested without incident in the City Park neighbourhood, in the 100 block of 3rd Avenue North. A search of their persons found ammunition and methamphetamine.
Following their arrests, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 100 block of St. Paul’s Place where an additional woman was arrested police seized 19.4 grams of fentanyl (yellow/grey), 19.1 grams of carfentanyl, 250 mL of gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), 1.6 grams of cocaine, 7.8 grams of methamphetamine, $364 in cash, Ruger Mark IV .22 automatic handgun with a loaded magazine, assorted ammunition, bear spray, body armour, assorted edged weapons, and an expandable baton.
