Blizzard conditions are expected across much of southern Saskatchewan on Wednesday as a strong Alberta clipper brings heavy snow, strong winds and near-zero visibility, according to Environment Canada.
Environment Canada says 10 to 20 centimetres of snow is forecast, with higher amounts possible. North to northeasterly wind gusts could reach 70 to 80 kilometres per hour.
The Yellowhead and Trans-Canada highway corridors will be affected, with dangerous travel and possible road closures.
