Cut Knife Report – Dec. 1 to 7
The week of Dec. 1-7 was National Safe Driving Week. Fifty-seven traffic stops were made in the Cut Knife area by Cut Knife members and Traffic Services. This resulted in tickets, warnings and three roadside suspensions being issued. Members attended two Mental Health Act calls.
The Cut Knife RCMP received 53 calls for service between Dec. 1 to Dec. 7. These files included well-being checks, reports of disturbances, reports of traffic offences, mischief, assault, assault with weapon, breach of peace, failure to comply with orders, theft of vehicle, uttering threats, harassing communication, collision, Mental Health Act, 911 misuse, break and enter, missing person, theft and assisting other agencies.

On Dec. 1, RCMP members attended a sudden death in the town of Cut Knife. After investigation, the death was deemed non-suspicious by officers and the coroner. The funeral home and next of kin were notified.
Also on Dec. 1, officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle is a dark green Dodge Ram 3500 Mega Cab with Saskatchewan license plate SADDLD. The stolen truck also had beige fenders. The suspect was driving a silver SUV with unknown identifiers. The investigation is ongoing.
On Dec. 4, police were called to an assault involving a weapon on Little Pine First Nation. A 20-year-old male reported being assaulted by his partner and sprayed with bear mace. The suspect was located and arrested. They were later released with conditions.
On Dec. 5, the RCMP received a report of theft at the Marsden transfer site. The matter remains under investigation.
Members also attended Cut Knife school and collaborated with the youth of the PARTY program.

Cut Knife Report Dec. 8 to 14
The Cut Knife RCMP received 41 calls for service between Dec. 8 to Dec. 14. These files included well-being checks, reports of disturbances, reports of traffic offences, mischief, assault, assault with weapon, breach of peace, failure to comply with orders, theft of vehicle, break & enter, uttering threats, harassing communication, collision, Mental Health Act, 911 misuse, missing person, murder, theft and assisting other agencies.

On Dec. 8, at approximately 8 p.m., Cut Knife RCMP received a report of injured individuals at a residential property on Little Pine First Nation. See below for more details.
On Dec. 11, in the early hours, Cut Knife RCMP was called to a suspicious white car parked at the Little Pine First Nation gas bar. At the time, the driver appeared to be sleeping with what looked like a firearm beside them. Patrols were made, and not able to locate. No complaints were reported related.
On Dec. 11, members responded to a call regarding a domestic assault, where the victim had run to nearby families for safety. The accused fled the house but was later located and arrested that day.
Twelve traffic stops were completed, resulting in tickets, warnings and roadside suspensions. Members attended one alarm call and two Mental Health Act calls.
