SASKATOON — A lengthy and complex fraud investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) Economic Crime Section has resulted in charges being laid against a 53-year-old Cudworth woman.
On June 19, Saskatoon police received a report of a fraud at a Saskatoon business. The owners believed an employee providing bookkeeping services had defrauded them of large sums of money.
Further investigation found that approximately $340,000 had been misappropriated from business accounts for the accused's personal expenses and significant purchases, including a Ford F-150.
The woman has been charged with fraud over $5,000 and trafficking in proceeds of crime over $5,000.
She was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Jan. 28, 2026.
