WOLLASTON LAKE – Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes are investigating a suspicious death in Wollaston Lake.
On Dec. 17 at approximately 6:15 p.m., Wollaston Lake RCMP received a report of a deceased male at a residence in Wollaston Lake.
Officers from Wollaston Lake RCMP immediately responded, confirmed the male was dead, and secured the scene for further investigation.
The individual has been identified as a 33-year-old man, from Wollaston Lake. His family has been notified. Police say they are not providing additional details about the man at this time.
The man's death is currently considered suspicious. As a result, Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes has taken charge of the investigation. Due to inclement weather and the remote location of the community, investigators travelled to Wollaston Lake and arrived on Dec. 18.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is asking anyone with information about this incident to report it immediately to their local police by dialling 310-RCMP.

Investigators advise there will be an increased police presence in Wollaston Lake for an undetermined amount of time.
