NIPAWIN – RCMP are investigating a suspicious fire in Nipawin.
On Dec. 12 at approximately 10:30 p.m., Nipawin RCMP received a report of a fire at a residence on 5 Street East in Nipawin, SK.
Officers responded immediately, along with local fire. The fire was extinguished. The occupants inside the residence at the time of the fire were able to exit safely. No injuries were reported to police.
Nipawin RCMP engaged fire investigators with the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency to assist with determining the cause and origin of the fire. Based on evidence police have gathered, it is believed the fire is suspicious in nature.
Nipawin RCMP continue to investigate the fire and ask members of the public to report information about any suspicious activity or vehicles they observed in the 5 Street East area of Nipawin on the evening of Dec. 12.
