PRINCE ALBERT — A man who was wanted faces 14 new charges following an arrest in the Prince Albert area.
Prince Albert RCMP arrested Brennan Sewap on Dec. 23. On that day, Prince Albert RCMP say they located a wanted man driving a stolen vehicle in Prince Albert. They contacted Prince Albert Police Service to assist.
RCMP officers attempted a traffic stop, but the driver of the vehicle fled.
Saskatchewan RCMP’s Warrant Enforcement Suppression Team located the vehicle parked at a residence in Prince Albert. Prince Albert RCMP officers and Prince Albert Police Service helped secure the area.
Three occupants exited the vehicle, and RCMP officers arrested two women. The third occupant, the wanted man, fled on foot and was arrested by RCMP after a short foot pursuit.
RCMP officers searched the vehicle and seized a loaded semi-automatic rifle and ammunition, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and three packages of a substance believed to be cocaine. Police say the substance will be sent to Health Canada for further testing.
Brennan Sewap, 36, from Saskatoon, is charged with flight from peace officer, dangerous driving, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, resist/obstruct peace officer, driving while prohibited, transport firearm in an unsafe manner, possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized, possession of a firearm in a vehicle, weapons/firearms possession contrary to order, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Patricia Morin, 34, from Southend, is charged with fail to comply with release order condition, resist/obstruct a peace officer, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, and careless use of a firearm.

Sewap, Morin and Linklater appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Dec. 24.
