ESTEVAN — The Estevan Police Service and the Estevan Fire Rescue Service were called to a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Souris Avenue South and Fourth Street.
According to the police report for Dec. 30, no injuries were reported from the collision, but one vehicle was no longer operable and had to be towed from the scene. The EPS says charges are pending in the investigation.
That same day, a suspicious person was reported outside a business in the downtown area. Members attended, and determined the individual lives in the area and was attempting to locate a shovel to move snow from the sidewalk.
The EPS attended to a complaint of an individual attempting to gain entry into a residence. Both individuals involved are known to each other and the situation was mediated by officers.
A domestic disturbance at an apartment complex was investigated. The occurrence was determined to be a verbal argument and nothing criminal had occurred. Those involved were cautioned about causing a disturbance for the other tenants.
Two separate alarms at a business in the Bay Meadows area were determined to be unfounded.
A report of a quad operating on a city street without lights on was investigated Dec. 29. Members were able to follow the tracks of the vehicle for a significant distance but were unable to locate it. The matter remains under investigation.
EPS members conducted a well-being check on an individual after he had failed to report to work and was not responding to calls from family. The individual was eventually located at his residence and was found to be safe and well. No further police intervention was required.
The EPS received a report of a domestic disturbance at an east end residence. Both parties had left prior to police arrival, but the EPS said investigators were able to contact those involved and determined that the incident was a loud verbal argument. Nothing criminal had occurred.
A well-being check on an individual was requested by family members after social media posts left them concerned the person may cause self harm. The subject of the report was located at their residence and found to be safe and well, and just wanted space from family and friends.
An alarm at a business in the Bay Meadows area was investigated and determined to be unfounded.
