REGINA — In a ceremony filled with pride, reflection, and quiet resolve, 10 new recruits were formally sworn in as members of the Regina Police Service at the Mitakuyé Owâs’ā Centre, marking the beginning of their careers in policing and their commitment to serve the community they now stand ready to protect.

The recruits, ranging in age from their early 20s to mid-50s, bring a wide range of life experience, backgrounds, and perspectives to the service. Together, they represent a new chapter for the Regina Police Service, one shaped by diversity, dedication, and a shared sense of duty.
Their journey to this moment was anything but easy. The 10 recruits emerged from a rigorous application and screening process that began with well over 100 applicants. Through extensive interviews, background investigations, physical testing, and psychological assessments, the field was steadily narrowed to the final 10 now sworn in to serve Regina.
Each recruit took the oath surrounded by family, friends, and senior members of the service, a reminder that policing is not only a profession but a commitment that reaches far beyond the individual. For many in the room, the ceremony marked years of preparation, sacrifice, and determination coming into focus.
The new members of the Regina Police Service are Michael Prudun, Brady Pouteau, Linsay Sali Wollbaum, Joseph Wood, Dylan Stinson, Dillon Vallee, Reagan Roszell, Manpreet Sandhu, Aiden Kuski, and Derek Bouvier.
The recruits begin their formal training on Jan. 5, at the Saskatchewan Police College, where they will complete 22 weeks of intensive instruction. Following graduation on June 5, they will return to Regina to begin field training under the guidance of experienced Regina Police Service officers.
For the service, the addition of 10 new recruits strengthens its ability to meet the evolving needs of the community. For the recruits themselves, the ceremony marks the moment preparation turns into purpose, and aspiration becomes action.
