SASKATCHEWAN — After a brief reprieve, people in parts of Saskatchewan are facing another weather warning.
Environment Canada issued a blowing snow advisory for southeast and east-central Saskatchewan, including Regina, Moose Jaw, Estevan, Weyburn, Carlyle, Assiniboia, Yorkton, Canora, Kamsack, Preeceville and Humboldt. Some communities are no longer subject to the warning.
"Another clipper system passing through the province is bringing light snow and gusty winds to the region," the advisory said.
Environment Canada says northwesterly winds gusting 60-70 kilometres per hour will develop late in the evening of Jan. 17, along with blowing snow and falling temperatures continuing into the following day. Conditions will improve in the afternoon of Jan. 18 as the winds diminish.
A blowing snow advisory was in effect for much of the province on Jan. 15 and 16 due to another storm system.
SaskToday will have updates as they become available.
