SASKATOON — The Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) has announced charges in connection with a fatal collision last July.
According to a news release, a police investigation determined that a 42-year-old woman was merging onto Circle Drive from 22nd Street West when she attempted to change lanes to take the Laurier Drive exit on July 15, 2025.
While changing lanes, the SPS said the woman struck a second vehicle which resulted in it striking a concrete support structure. The driver, a 73-year-old woman, was transported to hospital where she died from her injuries. A 14-year-old female passenger was also transported to hospital for treatment of what the SPS said were serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The 42-year-old woman was arrested Jan.15 and charged with dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
